Valplast is a specific premium brand of flexible dentures. It is the original and most established flexible denture material, with 60+ years of proven performance. Other flexible denture materials are available at lower cost but may not have the same durability or biocompatibility. We offer both Valplast and other flexible options. It depends on your priorities. Flexible dentures are more comfortable and aesthetic because there are no metal clasps. They are ideal for patients with metal allergies or who want the most natural appearance. However, chrome partials are more durable for long-term wear, easier to adjust, and provide better chewing function for heavy use. We help you choose based on your needs.

With proper care, flexible dentures typically last 5-7 years. Valplast (premium brand) may last slightly longer. They are durable but may need replacement sooner than chrome partials if subjected to heavy chewing forces. Regular checkups help us monitor their condition.

Flexible dentures can be repaired, but it requires special techniques and materials. Not all dental labs can repair flexible dentures. We have the equipment and expertise to repair flexible dentures in our on-site laboratory, though repairs may not be as strong as the original material.

Yes, flexible dentures restore good chewing function. There is a short adjustment period of 1-2 weeks. Start with softer foods and gradually progress to harder foods. Most patients adapt quickly. However, flexible dentures may flex slightly when chewing very hard foods, which some patients find less ideal than rigid chrome partials.

Clean your flexible denture daily with a soft toothbrush and mild soap or denture cleaner. Do not use regular toothpaste as it is too abrasive and can scratch the material. Soak overnight in denture cleaning solution or water. Avoid hot water which can warp the flexible material. Never use bleach or harsh chemicals.

Flexible dentures are designed to be virtually invisible. The pink material blends with your gums and there are no metal clasps to show. Most people will not notice you are wearing a denture unless you tell them. This is one of the main advantages over chrome partials with visible metal clasps.

Yes, if you are eligible for VDS, your voucher can be used for flexible dentures including Valplast. VDS covers the cost of partial dentures, and flexible dentures are an approved option. Call us to check your eligibility and process your voucher.

Adding teeth to flexible dentures is more difficult than with chrome or acrylic partials. It may be possible in some cases, but often a new flexible denture is recommended if you lose additional teeth. We assess each situation individually.
